They also have a menu for the kiddos, so if your kids are like mine and don't care for mexican when you do they are able to get things they like. The service was friendly and she always stopped back to check on us even when she seemed to be busy...all around GREAT place! less

The chips are very stale, covered in taco seasoning, and greasy cheddar cheese. 2) The taco meat is red in color, but not because it's undercooked, but because it's mixed with large quantities of taco seasoning and salsa. It was the most disgusting taco meat I've ever eaten. 3) The entire establishment is a bastardized version of a Mexican restaurant. It's like a sad joke of what Midwesterners think Mexican food should taste like. 4) If I wanted to see drunk people losing their money at the video poker machine, I would have gone to a casino. Video poker shouldn't be allowed in restaurants. less

Since Casper's closed a few years ago, although there are many decent restaraunts in Brookings, none of them really had the quality or atmosphere of the finer dining establishments in Sioux Falls. On our 1st visit, we were lucky enough to get seated at the bar, as we hadn't made reservations ahead of time. The crab cakes were delicious and my prime rib sandwich was perhaps the most tender and tasty I've ever had. My wife was equally impressed with dinner salmon salad. Bravo's get my highest recommendation for dining in Brookings! less

A Brookings stable for at least 20 years or more, George's isn't the fanciest restaraunt in town but they do have a lot of variety of Greek / American / Pizza offerings as well as an excellent salad bar. A college favorite, they also have a walk up carry out window on the street where you can buy pizza by the slice! less
