I haven't eaten food like that since my grandmother died 10 years
ago. The Pan fried chicken, the mashed potatos and gravy were the closeset
to home cooked I have ever had. You can tell the chicken is pan fried by
the skillet marks on it. The gravy is made from the chicken drippings.
The cinnamon Rolls & biscuits that come with the meal are fresh
baked and you can tell. I only have two complaints, first they give way
too much food, and second the place is way too nice to be a chicken joint.
I've been four times now and have not been disapointed yet. The
Pot roast is the best I have ever eaten, and the Tenterloin sandwich
is unbeliveable. My wife ordered the Pan Fried lobster tail and It is
certainly worth a mention. I woulden't think of frying a lobster
tail but it was great. My server was Cara and this was also an excellent
part of the meal. She gave good service and was very informative as well
as attentive. If you like comfort food, this place is for you, I'v
eaten at all the places like this in the Kansas City area, this one is
by far the best.
