Great steaks, caesar salad and banana foster! I was a vegetarian the
first time I went but I decided to sneak a bite. It was amazing! I was expecting
my taste buds to revolt because the last time I had steak it tasted like
cardboard even though it was at another fancy steakhouse.
Expensive but well worth it. Staff was fun and friendly.

Wow, it is nice. though it is more like 40-50 ala carte. so the bill ends
up at about 50-60 a person with a basic meal. it is exceptional though.
my steak was superb. the service was amazing, i would love to go back
there once i save up enough money.

this is a very nice place to eat where you should wear a button down
shirt. they also have a cigar room which is really nice. the steak
there is incredibly good! the prices are high, but it is a nice
restaurant so its worth it.

A throwback to the supper clubs of the 1930s, El Gaucho is one of
Seattle's more expensive restaurants. Its location in
Belltown (Seattle's latest 'in' spot) and dark,
dramatic black-on-black decor attracts an upscale, hip clientele.
Steak is the unabashed house specialty, and coupled with appetizers,
it can easily lighten the pockets of two diners by $100 -- even
before ordering wine. But part of the price is the presentation.
The restaurant is a large, open space, broken up into several
semi-circular "corrals, " each with half a dozen
or more comfortable banquettes and broad passageways between
them. A three-foot raised platform along two sides holds even
more tables, affording diners an excellent view of a continuous
stream of impressive tableside preparations. Four separate
rooms accommodate private parties from eight to eight-score,
and there's even a Cigar Lounge. Check out the nightly piano
bar music, or on weekends head downstairs to the Pampas Room for
dancing and entertainment.

Overpriced and very (pseudo?) high class. Real and rented limos
drop-off here. Everything is great, the bar, the cigar room,
the service, the food....they'll even take care of all that
extra money you're trying to get rid of....kinda fun, though...circus-like
for an old *art like me...lol, Thanks Debbie
