Food was excellent. Lobsters were everywhere, and everyone was in a good mood. The most service came from the side help guy who kept our glasses full and bread on the table. A great guy. The waitress came by once in a while. Small and crowded on a Tuesday night, it is crowded to the point of having to move the table to get into your chair because the next table is so close. The wait staff used me as a turning post, very often resting a hand on my sholder as they turned the corner, because they had to lean over me to get around the corner with a tray. Definately not for everyone, but the quality of food is top notch, and we will go back for those steamed clam appetizers.

What can I say, Daddy Jack's is definitely interesting. The first time I ate there, I was not expecting the food to be as good as it was. i believe it was because of the decorum, which is rather...well...very casual, but the food was outstanding and the service was great. I highly recccommend this place!!!

If you are in the mood for a romantic evening without any pretenses, this is the place to go. Food is consistent and good. "Lobster Bisque" some of the best in town.

I have eaten at Daddy Jack's many times and enjoy it enough to recommend to friends and visitors alike. I think it is good, fun food at a fair price. The hole-in-the-wall appearance and close quarters add to the charm and can be part of the fun if you let them. Jack's is not world-class cuisine, nor does it claim to be. They are happy being what they are, about the closest thing to a New England seafood joint you'll find this far inland. If their philosophy is best summed with the words 'Ritz cracker stuffing', then I say 'Pass me a lobster bib and a cold one baby, I am in!'

I THINK WHAT HE DID WAS WRONG..OH YEA, THE FOOD HERE IS ABOUT THE SAME AS LEFTY'S LOBSTER: UNDERCOOKED AND OVERPRICED. TRY LJ SILVERS FOR A LOT LESS MONEY.

Hands down the best lobster bisque! The food is always excellent though service has had its ups and downs.

Loved the atmosphere set by the quaint, 25 tables all with candles and dim lighting idea. The steamed clam appetizer was enough for a meal for one person but just right for two dinning. I had the Alaskan Crab Legs and although the portion looked smal when it was brought to the table it proved to be more then enough, and worth every penny it cost. Partner had a shrimp fettucini dish and he was surprised to see that there was more shrimp then pasta for once. The hostess and waitstaff were all effecient beyond normal standards, and was impressed with the handling of there ability to work around the obviously tight quarters. When greeted by the hostess we were escorted next to a little cavern bar and were told to enjoy ourselves and they would come and get us when the table was ready. I dont know who thought of that idea but it sure beat standing in a corner watching people eat. All in All I will go back again and again But Make restervations it is always packed

I think this is possibly one of the most over-rated restaurants in Dallas. For the same amount of money, you can visit a more upscale establishment, get better service, higher quality, and walk away extremely happy. I just don't get the idea of packing yourself into a hole-in-the-wall restaurant for ritz-cracker- coated seafood and allowing yourself to be treated rudely.

Excellent food, even the corn on the cob was delicious. Ordered Surf and turf one time on a weekend and went for the Tuesday night lobster special another time. I will be back.

I thought the food was excellent, although you need to make reservations because of the ammount of business they do (good food)
