My wife had enjoyed Shanty before, so we visited in September for Lobster Maineia. Hers was good, mine was pitiful. Out waitress just said "sometimes that happens" and the man at the register just stared at me - did not even respond to my complaint! So the service definitely tainted an otherwise pretty neat place.

Some of the best sea food I have ever eaten. The resturaunt was a great atmosphere and the evening was a lot of fun. I love fried fish, so this was a paradise for me.

We have frequented the Shanty many times over the years. It has an awesome view of Lake Champlain, the ferries and smaller boats to enjoy while you eat. I always get the Fish and Chips as fish is my specialty. It has always been quite taste, portions of have good and the service is good. The only thing I question is you have to climb stairs to get to the rest rooms although I am not handicaped I would think this might be a problem for one that was.

We do a lot of traveling in the midwest and make it a point to try all kinds of food. This resturaunt had great food and great atmosphere. We try not to visit the same place twice, but this might have to be an exception.

A nice spot with a view of the Burlington Harbor. Known for fried fish, clams, etc. and it looks the part, curley fries and all. This is place I go to when I am hungry for fried whole belly clams or oysters. <br> Very informal and if you use your imagination, you could be at a shanty on the shore.

This is one of the best spots to eat fried clams I have ever been to. The view is fabulous and the bar makes great rum drinks. Bring your appetite. The portions are generous.

I ordered their fish and chips. Not good. The fish was not crispy. Very soggy. I ended up removing the batter and eating just the fish. Not tasty according to any standard. I've had way better for less money. I can't say their other enrees aren't bad since I've only eaten there once. The view is nice.

A very good restaurant with a nautical theme located near Lake Champlain. The menu is a little heavy with fried foods. On site parking.
