Why do vegetarians seem to hate food? I love vegetables. Fresh corn, peas, baby squash, vine-ripe tomatoes, artichokes, new potatoes, fresh asparagus... why the compulsion among the non-carnivores to mess them up? Kerbey excels in tasteless and tough veggie lasagna, vegetable spread that resembles diaper contents, tofu dishes that manage to be runny and chalky in the same bite, and so on. Even the meat dishes are ruined - you'll pay $11 for four ounces of tuna cooked into catfood, and the meatloaf - er, meatBALL is the consistency of a superball, heavily seasoned with some bizarre mix - more "ball" than "meat" and my dog (who has been known to eat and enjoy rotten skunk) wouldn't even touch the leftover. Kerbey (all locations) has two things in its favor - 24 hour service and quasi-edible breakfasts. My advice: Stick to IHOP. Sure, IHOP is an Evil Corporate Chain but at least they won't screw up the pancakes.

Great place for breakfast. Try the gingerbread pancakes and

an omelet. <br> Very busy on weekends, so bring a newspaper and be prepared to

wait.

Kerby Lane is my favorite spot to eat in all of Austin. They have several locations across town and all serve great food. Be sure to try out the Whole Wheat Apple Pancakes or the California Omellette!!!

The chips were soggy and the queso was bland. Perhaps I went on a bad night, but the only interesting thing about this place are the servers who add a little too much flare for my liking.

This place does what it is meant to do, be a local diner. The staff is authentic and weird but full of character. The food is tasty and the place is always open.

This is THE late-night place to eat in Austin after a night out on the town. Be prepared to wait about half an hour, though.

Kerbey Lane is one restaurant you can count on to have good food. It isn't fancy but they have the best breakfast! Their omlets are wonderful and their gingerbread pancakes are yummy. Good food at a good price. Watch out for Sunday morning. It is usually crowded. I like the one on Research the best.

Great Latenight place. Fun. Their Queso used to be better. A warning to those who don't like Guacamole, don't order the Kerbey Queso. Their Great Big House Salad rocks!

This place has good breakfast type food and great service. It is open all night. Even better than the Kirby Lane down south. Great place to get some chocolate, strawberry- banana or oatmeal pancakes.

If you are looking for a dirty restaurant with poor service and mediocre food this is it. This restaurant is open 24 hours and it shows. Close it down a few hours and clean it up!!!

This place is really cool! Very intimate setting, with excellent

service, and a wonderful atmosphere. A very good selection of favorites, and the food is good. The coffee is to die for!
