I am used to huge burritos, but by huge, I mean lots of rice and lettuce to suffice the minature portions of meat! The burritos here are not only huge, but packed with all the right stuff, any way you like it. If you're looking for an inexpensive, but overwhemingly large meal, this is the place.

In terms of burritos, the more you add, the more it cost. I have never seen a taqueria with the meat sooo juicy. Most places have the meats dried up, slopped with beans to make it look just made. La Taqueria, at least for the beef, cooks it and chops it every 15 minutes or so, very tasty, very fresh.

Average food. I heard a lot of people say it was good, but I was less than overwhelmed. Service was a bit slow and casual. Don't come here if you are in a hurry.

This is and has been one of the best Mexican taqueria's in San Francisco for years and years. It is always crowded, but you stand in line for your order so it goes very quickly. The only downside is that you have to find parking on very busy Mission Street, but it's worth the aggravation because once you try the food here you will be sold. You can't miss with much of anything on their menu..it's all great!

I echo all the positive reviews for this place. I've eaten here 3 times. This is a great taco in San Francisco. In the 1970's I taught English down in Mexico City for a year, and I ate my share of street vendor tacos. Got to taste some amazing flavors. This place makes tacos that hold up well in comparison. This place is a walk up to the counter to order, then pay before you get your food. Find a bench & table if you're lucky. Place is usually crowded. Drinks: Horchata, Tamrindo, beer & soda. A bonus is Dianda's bakery next door. Go there for a dessert pastry after your tacos.

The best carne asada tacos in Frisco. you have to have it w/ cheese. I've been eating them since about 1984. not for vegetarians. All these other mexican spots that cater to vegetarian/vegan food are not the real deal. I don't blame them, they just realized all these lame mission district gentrifiers would by into it and tell there lame friends shit like, " I know this place that has the best tofu burrito". how lame is that? keep it simple..keep it real..

I can never finish my burrito, and usually have enough left over for a meal later in the day. Not only are the portions ample, but delicious! The green salsa served at the tables is med-hot, the burritos heavy on the meat veggies and beans, no rice filler here.

I visit San Francisco every year or so. No visit is complete without eating here! I can never finish my burrito, and usually have enough left over for a meal later in the day. Not only are the portions ample, but delicious! The green salsa served at the tables is med-hot, the burritos heavy on the meat veggies and beans, no rice filler here. I recommend the chicken with guacomole, spicy salsa!!!If you are in SF, a visit here is a must!

Without question the best taqueria in San Francisco, with their best item being chicken tacos with cheese, sour cream and avocado added. Expensive for a taqueria, the above-mentioned taco being close to $5.00 ( double the price of other Mission taquerias). Very crowded in peak hours, so call ahead and skip the line.

I have ONE, and only one, guage for any taqueria: NACHOS!!!

I have always said, ,and continue to say that the best Nachos in the Bay Area are at "El Faralito" but this place is pretty close behind them. I could write all day about it but lets make it easier, ,do you like Nachos?? GO to La Taqueria and try theirs. All of the other entrees are exactly what you'd expect from a mission street location, ,good filling but not worth sleeping out in front of the door for a few hours til they open, good.

I would consider this place to be one of the be taqueria in the entire area. I travel a lot on business, and whenever I am in S.F. I always make sure to go here.

I've been eating at this restaraunt for the last 20+ years and it has always been top notch for tacos & burritos. It's usually pretty crowded, but the wait isn't too long. Be sure to have one of their "aguas de fruta" as a beverage with your meal. Definitely a keeper!

The best taqueria in the bay area. The best tacos are the carne asada with the works (cheese, sour cream, avocado and chile).

Everytime I come down from Seattle to visit friends I stop off at La Taqueria for a couple Carne Asada tacos. They are the absolute best!

La Taqueria is the best mexican eateries in all of San Francisco! They make everything (except the tortillas) while you watch. The guacamole so is delicious that anything you order, should include it. They do not use rice in any of their dishes, which makes them unique, and suprisingly filling. Try their frijoles y queso burrito. You will not be disappointed. But please be aware that anything you order should be accompanied by a napkin!
