great value for the money. you get surprised by the time you get
inside as compare to what you might have expected from looking
at the place from outside as it's located not at most upscale
neighborhood.
food is great and service is good. as I said, you get most for your
money. I pick this place one of the best place in S.F for what you
get for your money spent

This place may be a bit over rated. We had salads that were marginal.
I literally could do better buying a prepackaged salad at Safeway
and could definitely make one better.
The entrees were good, duck and lamb, but not spectacular.
Desert was ok. The Goat Cheese soufflé was dry.
Will not be back..once was enough.

My favorite French restaurant in the Bay Area for the price. The food is outstanding, and the deserts are out of this world: the best creme brulee I've had this side of the Atlantic. Depending on who waits on your table, the service ranges from average to very good. The restaurant is a little cramped, but that's also part of the charm of a French bistro. Reservations can be hard
to
come by, especially on a weekend, but I've sometimes gotten late seating (10pm) at the last minute.

This is one awesome restaurant. Perhaps a bit
intimate as to closeness of tables, but our waiter
was outstanding, our reservation was honored
immediately, and the quality of ingredients and
preparation were stellar.
I started with Soup of the Day which was a Corn
Chowder, which was rich and smooth. A touch of
crushed pepper brought out nice flavor. Entree was
Filleted Salmon, which was quite tender and
flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Desert was an
icecream with berries, nuts, and chocolate. Not too
rich, considering the richness of the Salmon. Oh,
by the way, I stole a couple of my Dad's French
Fries.....perhaps best I have ever eaten!! Might
just go back to have soup, fries, and a glass of
wine!!
Overall, a memorable dining experience. Great
drinks, very fair prices.
