The "snapper" was more like tough cod. Much of staff could
not communicate in english. Side orders were incorrect and waitress
left us waiting 30 minutes for the bill so she could tend to a larger table.
The guacamole nearly made up for it though.

Although this casual Mexican restaurant is in an attractive
old house, it doesn't look all that special from the outside,
but the food is worth the visit. Start with the homemade guacamole
or the mushroom quesadilla. Be sure to try the nopales salad,
made with strips of prickly-pear cactus -- it's one of the
best we've ever had. For an entree, try the lamb adobo or the
pumpkin-seed-crusted snapper, and finish it all off with the
tamal de chocolate or the cheesecake with prickly-pear syrup.

I just got back from ASU and this was one of the places we stopped
by. Great burritos and tacos and some of the best margaritas I
have ever had. Plus you can get them in there really cool ceramic
glasses. Unlimited chips and salsa....good stuff.

I do not get here NEARLY often enough! When I am living in Arizona,
though (am not currently), I do like going here....food is top
notch Mexican, with some of the best (and freshly made) chips
and salsa anywhere. Killer ritas, too. It is tough to recommend
something in particular on a menu that you simply cannot go wrong
on. Sometimes it is hard to believe you could find such a wonderful
place in a strip mall like this!

Excellent authentic mexican restaraunt. Owner is head cook
and takes pride in all of the food he puts out. They have different
specials every day that allows him to explore for new flavors.
Portions are not too large, which is good because the flan should
not be missed. *****
