The cowboy steak (a full pound of bone-in T-bone) was a hit right off
the bat. Though it didn't have as pronounced a mesquite flavor
as I expected, being grilled over mesquite coals, it was nicely seasoned
on the outside and buttery and juicy on the inside, with the flavor working
all the way through. Much of the time I only eat steak at home because
at restaurants it's bland, tough and begging for sauce, but A-1
was unnecessary here.

Tourist trap! As such, come expecting to spend money. Your service
is dependent upon how busy they are. They can be very busy to very
slow. So I suggest eating there before or after "the crowd"
to get good service.

The food is good, but you are paying for the "old west"
atmosphere.

Rawhide is fun, but don't eat there. Overpriced, average quality
and slow service. Enjoy the attractions and eat on the go - they
offer several stands and snackbars.

Rawhide as a theme park offers a variety of shopping, outdoor
theatre, hayride cookouts, children's activities and more.
But many locals make their way through all that just to go to the
steakhouse. Service is friendly. Food includes steaks and chicken
and some odd appetizers such as rattlesnake and "Rocky Mountain
Oysters" (don't ask). Yes, it is touristy pricing. Some meals
do not include a baked potato, but you can get one for an extra charge.
Their apple pie with cinnamon ice cream makes a good finish to
a meal. Personally, I found the steaks as good as any of the other
restuarants in the area. They are cooked over a mesquite wood
barbeque, and worth the price in my humble opinion. But you are
also paying for the atmosphere, of which there is always plenty.
You might even get harassed a little by one of the local "gunmen."
It is a noisy place as someone else said. Not a place for people
who can't shout but have to converse during dinner.

While visiting my husband's brother, we stopped to eat here.
The atmosphere was really alot of fun (children really enjoy
this place), and the food was very good. We have been back to Rawhide
on several other visits.

Went there a couple months ago and had pork sandwiches....not
too bad......... The atmosphere is very western and the people
are very friendly. The service was good. The kids plate was delicious
for my son. Will go again.

Real tourist attraction. Lots of fun. Plan to spend the entire
time going from one attraction to the next. DOn't miss a thing.
Buy the passes for the kids so that they can take full advantage
of the sites. Panning for gold is a nice pass time.
The food was also good. Plan your time accordingly.

This place is a lot of fun, you go there for the atmosphere...the
steak is very good, granted not of the caliber of Ruth's Chris
or Monti's but a great steak nonetheless. Also had the rattlesnake
appetizer and was an interesting experience! Overall, I feel
it is worth the price, you get a lot of good food, and the experience
is uncomparable.

Rawhide is a major tourist attraction, and as such, the steakhouse
thinks that gives them thr right to raise thier prices to the point
of absurd. The food is average, and comparable to other local
steakhouses. The service is also average, and downright slow
on weekends when the crowds become large. All in all , I recommend
choosing a local steakhouse to dine at before arriving at Rawhide,
and spend your money on just sodas or snacks. Your wallet will
thank you.
