It's nice to know some things haven't changed! We were here last year and enjoyed a meal here - and did so againt his year! BIG beers and good food - schnitzel still authentic and salad bar (though I don't usually care for salad bars) still very good - and oh, the fresh warm bread - to die for! Be prepared to wait - they make it to order. But do try it - it's worth it.

We are traveling all over and often try to find the best authentic German cuisine - this is it! Everything was excellent. I agree that you should try the soup of the day. I'm not usually a fan of salad bars but this one was very good - great selection and very fresh. the schnitzel was outstanding - some of the best we've ever had (when not actually in Germany). Can be costly - but worth it. We'll go back.

The Bavarian Point is great. I've only had poor service there a few times and it was because of unexpected large parties overwhelming the servers. Jagerschnitzel is outstanding.. tastes just like you're dining in Germany or Austria. Wurstpfanne is also great, complete with the best mustard around. The black forest cake is a good dessert choice and the imported beer is served in steins if you're a hearty beer drinker. I have never been disappointed by the food here and I've gone at least 50 times. 2 thumbs up.

I just got back from the Bavarian Pointe (6/18/05). I'll admit the place was full of patrons - but I'll never go back myself. The service was absolutely horrible, and started from the moment my wife and I were seated. The restaurant was kept uncomfortably warm, the waitress appeared to be more interested in hugging patrons than in serving food, dirty dishes were left on my table for the entire dinner, no one ever offered to refill my water or bring out more bread. The food was bland - nothing special about it in my book. Save yourself a drive and go to the Murphy Haus over on the West side. Trust me - you'll be glad you did.

The food is good. The service is good. I'm no expert on German cuisine but friends of mine that are give this place a hearty recommendation. I've eaten here only two or three times and have always enjoyed it.

Bavarian Pointe is a great German find in the East Valley. For the many Northern and Midwesterners who long for good German food, Bavarian Pointe is a must.
The atmosphere is dark paneling and very dated. The restaurant is not the cleanest I have ever visited, but the food is wonderful. They offer several German beers on tap and have the most wonderful soup. Forego the salad bar for soup unlike any in the Valley.
The standard German offerings can be found here along with a few that may not be familiar to you.
My pick: Any soup of the day, Paulaner Munich on draft, Beef Roulade and Apple Strudel for desert.
Average crowd is retired people and a few adventurous couples.

Meat that cuts without a knife because it's so tender. Dessert apple rings to die for and good ol' German Beer. From beginning to end be prepared to pay about $60. Their service and food has been excellent for several years.

Wunderbar! The best German food in the valley for overallselection. Their zweibelrostbraten is unbeatable and the wursts are delectable. Schnitzels are quite good as well. The food is always carefully prepared and most of the servers are excellent.

The Bauersmaus Plate is excellant and can't be beat. The steak with onions is out of this world. The wurst are wunderbar. It is our favorite German food in the Valley.
