This is a great place for a first date. The atmosphere is great

a page right out of Venice. I have tried just about everything

on the menu and some specials off the menus(a perk for regulars)

I cannot say enough the food is fabulous and the service is excellent.

Just a hair away from 5 stars. Maybe next visit! Enjoy

Probably the most romantic restaraunt i have been to in dallas. A great place to take a date for some truly superb italian food. Their bread is really good and always brought to your table fresh from the oven. They have a very nice piano lounge also. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. Great atmoshpere also.

I've only been there twice -- both times in the 1980s. But I've never forgotten what a magical experience it was, and I'm finally getting to go again tonight! In my lifelong, two-continent quest for great Italian, no restaurant has even come close to Il Sorrento. (Especially the fettucine al alfredo!)

I loved this place! The pizza and pasta are the best in Dallas. I could die for the lasagna, go there and try it! You'll never eat better!

The food is excellent and the atmosphere is surpassed by few. There is a fountain inside and it looks like you are in a little Italian court yard. Prices are high, but the food and atmosphere make the cost worth while.

We took my parents to this restaurant last year and they are still talking about it. The food was great but the service and restaurant was magical. You leave your problems behind here, be prepared to spend several hours here at dinner.

For a romantic "getaway", this is the place to do it! Everything was so good--from the lobster to the chocolate mousse to the constant refills of yummy bread from the passing 'breadmen.' There are strolling musicians who will play at your request (they know whole medleys of anything by Sinatra!) The dark, warm and receptive atmosphere will make you feel you left Dallas far behind----of course I think it's romantic--my husband propsed to me there and he could not have picked a better place!

Most romantic restaurant in Dallas. Italian arcades, indoor piazzas, courtyards and imported classic statues. Il Sorrento is irresistable panache, complete with it's Venetian canal with gondola. There is no better pasta anywhere, made fresh daily on premises. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and conducted at your pace. The piano lounge is cool and relaxing, just the place for an intimate evening. Find this wonderfully romantic hideaway and you will find an experience you'll never forget.

Like a sidewalk cafe in Venice. One of the best atmospheres in Dallas complete with canals and strolling musicians. Come early and have your fortune told by the gypsy woman in the comfy & intimate piano lounge. Bread men keep your plate full with addictive piping hot yeast rolls. Top notch Caesar salad and escargot a great way to start things off. Rich Fettucini Alfredo, Italian version of bouillibase, medallions of beef Giordano, or any of the veal or fish dishes sure to be a hit. Have the accordian player do his rendition of The Godfather, Never On Sunday, or Arrivederci Roma.
