This is the review for Seoul Garden from the Guide.
I have visited this resturant and the food is
excellent. The service is a little slow by American
standards, but is does not ruin the experience.
This is a must visit for anyone who likes Korean food.
==========================================
Any fan of ethnic cuisine ought to dine here at least once. If you
bring a group, order the $35 deluxe jeong sik. The meal, meant
for two but ample for four, features about 30 small plates of nearly
every Korean foodstuff imaginable. Pancakes. Steamed king
crab legs. Bean sprouts. Radish. Squash. Tiny eggplant. Tofu.
Kimchi. Bul go gi (barbecued rib-eye). Oysters. Broiled mackerel.
Baby eels. Some things we didn't recognize. It's a marvelous
experience.
All sorts of hot pots, a more recognizable dish for Americans,
are offered here. Most, though, feature seafood. Haemul jun
gol was a mix of shrimp, crab and other shellfish with vegetables
in a spicy broth. Good stuff.
Dinners can get pricey, but lunch is a genuine bargain. Man doo
gui brings more than a dozen fried dumplings containing a mixture
of vegetables and beef to the table. Or order one of the exotic-
sounding soup or noodle dishes; our server guided us to bi bim
naeng myun, tiny buckwheat noodles tangled in a red-hot sauce.
She had to cut them with scissors to make them manageable with
chopsticks.
Note: Finding Seoul Garden can be a problem: Above the door at
Royal Lane and Reeder the name is in Korean only (although it its
in English on the shopping center's sign).
