Hi, I went to Art's after I saw it featured on one of the Food Network
shows. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich, which was excellent. In
spite of being in a "nice" neighborhood in LA, the waitress
was friendly. I'll be back next time I'm in LA.

Great old fashioned deli. All the portions are generous and the
atmosphere is good.

Art's has been located on Ventura Boulevard forever. This place
is a Los Angeles icon, but no one who frequents the plae tells anyone
else about it. "Hey, you want deli, go to Cantor's (in the Fairfax)."
Yes, you go to Cantor's and I'll continue to go to Art's. They even
have valet parking available...

ART's is probably the best Jewish Deli in the Los Angeles Area.
Corned Beef Sandwiches are stuffed with excellent corned beef
to a generous capacity. So are all the other deli sandwiches.
It is very reminiscent of the Jewish Deli's I grew up with on Chicago's
North Shore. For those of you from New York, you'll find this deli
will stand on par with The Stage Deli or The Carnegie Deli during
their heydays. It's simply terrific.
Nothing here on the menu that isn't good. Price is reasonable,
and the food is served with proper accompanyments and large portions.
