This is a hidden gem in South Miami. Akashi is small and always packed which you end up calling for takeout more often that dining in. However it is worth it. Larry the owner is always there and usually behind the sushi bar talking to customers. I also found out while i was there that you can now order online from the website Stopcooking

The food is so good. My boyfriend and i go to that restaurant every two weeks. AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

A friend of mine heard I had never had Japanese food and decided to treat myself and a few of our friends to a very expensive enjoyable dining experience. The tone is set with the cloth napkins. Overall it was an excellent dining experience, and set the standard for my japanese dining ventures. The fried ice cream is geniunely deep fried, and I am sure fattening as well. This IS my favorite japanese restaurant out of all the ones I have been to.
