The burger with a fried egg on top is very interesting ( and good). Better
than average onion rings. Famous old place near UT campus. Easy to find
a parking spot. Friend service. Seems to never change , that's
a plus.

Have loved this for years! My dad went to it when he was a teen and he was
born in 1923. The OT special is especially good (double meat w/ cheese
and bacon). We usualyy split it. I love the onion rings. It is the only
pleace in Austin I will eat burgers, and the best place for onion rings
since the Stallion on North Lamar went away. French fries were good
as they leave the skin on.

I graduated UT Austin in 1972. I ate at Dirty's on a regular
basis while a student. They give you a real delicious hearty meal
between buns for a poor student's price. Everything is great!
The cook used to press out the hamburger patties under his sleeveless
arms, but on my last visit I noticed they don't do that anymore.
Oh, well, the HB's are just as good, now! :-) Going there again
really brought back memories. I have to eat there every time I
am near Austin! It's been there all this time - what more need
I say!

I love Dirty's is a great local burger joint, that lives up
to good food. The burgers are extremely greasy, but don't
let this discourage you. It is worth it. Some of the best burgers
Austin has to offer. Don't forget to try their homemade milk
shakes. A little history on Dirty's, Janice Joplin used
to work there and lived above the place.

One of the best (if not easily the best) burger joints ever. Great
greasy food and excellent atmosphere combined with prices from
yester-year make this an unforgetable legend. Highly recommended

Whenever someone starts a "best burger in Austin" discussion,
I always vote for Dirty Martin's. They actually cost less than
the fast food joints in most cases, and their burgers and rings
are legendary.

I love this dive! The food is cheap. The waitress could be your
grandmother and the cook's been their since the Vietnam War.
For a good burger and shake it blows the chains away.

Great "good-ole-burger" On the drag, it's a two-story whitewashed
building. Grab one of the outside tables, get a cold beer and be
sure to order the onion rings. They're fabulous.
