THis review applies to the Pizzeria Uno places in Kenmore Square,
Dedham, and Allston/Brighton. I haven't been to the Braintree
one, but I could find Uno only under the Braintree listing.
WHen I know the exact street address and phone nos of the other
Unos I'll add them later on.
In any case, my experience with all of the Unos I've been to
have been uniformly excellent. THe food is just really really
really good! The service is great too, quite fast. And the
ambience is very very nice for casual dining out.
Their pizzas are really wonderful. A real delight. You'll have
problems even finishing the personal-sized ones, very filling
and hearty. I highly recommend their steak-tips, especially
the Southwest style. My girlfriend recommends their heavy-hand
sandwiches, really really HUGE sandwiches!
I really like their appetizers too, try the quesadillas. The
nacho plate is a meal in itself, and the cheese sticks are
awesome. The best deal is the Chicago Sampler, which is about $8
(I think) but contains samples of all the appetizers: fries,
wings, cheese sticks, chicken fingers, onion rings, etc etc. Very very
good stuff. I can't recommend this place highly enough for a casual dining
experience. Most of the places have sports-bar type areas
where you can watch games on big-screen TVs.
