Great Italian w/fun atmosphere. Try the polenta appetizers--it's delish...and the ravioli is excellent (as are most of the dishes).

Excellent Tuscan menu and wine selection. It is a local favorite, always busy.

This restaurant is a gem; its atmosphere is upscale, yet relaxed; the food is varied and always very good; and the service is remarkly polite and professional. The wine by the glass list is decent and usually contains a few worthwhile choices. An interesting sidenote: Vivace seems to have a policy that allows the server to give everyone at the table an after dinner drink of Amaretto if the bill exceeds $150.

Excellent Italian restaurant, almost as good as Capellini in San Mateo. Arguably the best restaurant in Belmont.
Rated far superior to its sister restaurant Piacere in San Carlos.

Great place, consistently good service and very good food. Private party room in the back is a nice plus. It gets very crowded on weekends since seating is limited. I try to stop in for dinner several times per year on my trips to SF from the East Coast.

Wonderful service and food. Personal service by all waitors especially Arrek. Bartender personable and efficient. Food excellent and varied. Warm atmosphere and valet parking. Special requests can be handled immediately. Private wine room wonderful party place. (holds about 50) Every experience has been exceptional.. Greeted and recognized as repeat customers and always felt welcome. Exactly what Belmont needed. Companion restraunt in San Carlos.Make reservations, you won't be sorry.

Excellent Tuscan food in a nice atmosphere. Open kitchen with woodburning oven and 5 chefs. White linen tablecloth and a handsome bottle of virgin olive oil on the table with the most delicious breads. With no reservations, we had to wait about 15 minutes on a Wed. night at 7:30. We understand the place is packed on the weekends, and you can see why with one visit here. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the hazelnut chocolate torte outstanding. You don't have to drive to San Francisco to get good Italian atmosphere and food. It's right here in Belmont. Belmont?! On Ralston, across from Carlmont shopping center. Parking is at 1870 Ralston, between Glendale Savings and Barrett Field.

We go to Vivace fairly regularly and always enjoy it, the food is always good, however the service can be mixed. Sometimes the chef takes some license with the ingredients and presentation and departs from the menu descriptions. If you're a stickler, you may get irked, but if you like a place with warm staff and good food, you'll like it. It can get very crowded on the weekends.

Excellent food and service. Nice to have a more upscale restaurant in Belmont. Great olive oil w/balsamic vinegar and garlic to dip your bread.
