I have been eating Thai food for a long time and consider myself a well trained and educated Thai food lover. My view on Tara Thai is a little different from others. I never let the decor of the restaurant fool me eventhough I have to admit that I kind of enjoy that Aquatic Theme a lot more that I thought I would. I don't consider Tara Thai a chain because each one has its own chef and all the food prepared on site not from central kitchen so the menu might vary from location to location but not way off. I have visited several Tara Thai and think the food is excellent and authentic but light on chili but that is easy to be fixed with the spice tray from the servers. I do not judge the authenticity of Thai restaurant by the amount of chili in the food, real Thai food should have the balance of all different tastes. About the service, I have encountered some young and inexperience servers but they all try hard to make my evening enjoyable. Most of the staff are well trained and have been working there for a while which is a good sign of a great restaurant. I truly think Tara Thai serve the best Thai food outside of Bangkok.

Each time I go to Tara Thai, I am a little more disappointed. The quality of the food is as inconsistent as its service. The same dish is bland one day and then too hot to eat the next. Moreover, some of the waitresses are down right rude, especially if you are ordering take out. After 15 visits, I give up.

Tara Thai is an excellent Thai restaurant with a very well done sea-theamed atmosphere. The food is great, as is the selection. The service is first-rate, and they even have fresh flowers on the tables. Reservations are recommended because there is usually a line that pushes out the front door. I've tried a good many of the dishes, although my favorites are the spicy whole fish and the duck. I've heard that the drinks are good as well, but I prefer to concentrate on the food.

I really enjoyed the scenery as well as the food in this restaurant. Besides the fact that their food was wonderful, my favorite was their Tai Tea. I've been to better Thai restaurants in Charleston, but this is a very nice place to eat.

Tara Thai is one of the areas best Thai restaurants!! The decor is very exiting with an under water theme. The hung track lighting is very nice and give the restaurant a modern flair. The food is very good and the service has always been good even if the place is small and always crowded(another good sign). My favorite dish is the spicy whole fish which is often presented at the table as an extravagent entree. The Tara Thai also has a second location in Falls Church on Route 7. This location does not always measure up to the original.

Tara Thai has wonderful deserts. However, their main entrees do not taste anywhere close to the real Thai food. A lot of the entrees are very similar to one another (called by different names of course) while they are supposed to be quite unique and different.

Tara Thai is an excellent restaurant with a beautiful decor. The dishes range from hot to thai spicy. Parking is difficult in the area. I expecially enjoyed their Ginger Chicken. If you have out-of-town guest, take them to Tara Thai they will be inpressed that we have such a fine restaurant in Vienna. I did find adult meals range from 15-20. Four people should walk out with about an $80 bill.

Tara Thai is a beautiful restaurant, with great sea-themed decor and plenty of fresh flowers on the tables. I usually get the fried vegetables and tofu plate, and a mango daquiri; my friends have said that the meat dishes are good too. Parking is a little confusing, most of it is behind the building. Definitely make a reservation if you're going for dinner, it's very popular around here!
