Great restaurant will go there again. I just think that the service need to be quicker. But overall, it was good food, great atmosphere and good service.

My BF and I went here on a non-busy Saturday night for a late dinner. We always like to try new places, so when passing this Italian restaurant on El Camino, we figured might as well.

We waited in the front room for about 7 minutes with no hostess in sight. We the hostess came, we asked to see the menu which she then handed to us without a word then disappeared again. Ten minutes later she reappears and we asked to be seated. She motioned us to a table near the back of the room, hardly saying anything to us and not even wishing us a pleasant meal (standard in restaurants, right?).

Our waiter was much worse. He NEVER looked us in the eyes, seemed to roll his eyes when re requested a bottle of wine. We didn't understand why he was so rude to us yet so polite and friendly to the couple sitting right next to us!

Other points that made us decide to NEVER go back:

- There was a hair on the table! - The bread was obviously a day old, it was hard and not even warm - Our waiter never checked in on us, only brought the food and the check - Our bread plates stayed on the table through the whole meal

The ONLY good thing about it was the lasagna was pretty good. My BF's pizza didn't look like anything special though.

For lasagna and good pizza, stick with Frankie, Johnie & Luigi's just down El Camino in Mountain View....

Best Italian food in a long time. The food is excellent!! The place

is small so call ahead. The parking is terrible but the food more

than makes up for it. Oh yeah, the waiters are GORGEOUS!!!

The food is good, probably better than some of the other italian places in the area. the service was good, but could have been beter, and the ambience was fine for me. I expected the atmospherere to be more of a family-style dinning.

Are these review talking about the same place I went to?...This place is a bad leftover from the 1960's with the decor to boot. The food was ok but pricey. The service was marginal. The place stinks, however..no, I mean smells. The carpet probably has been changed since Leave it to Beaver went off the air. If this place were remodelled and updated and the prices a little lower, it might work. Stay at home and cook yourself some pasta...how hard is it.

The food is good, probably better than some of the other italian places in the area. The waiters are quite nice...its a family run place and they seem to have a few regulars as I noticed they seemed familiar with some customers.

Atmosphere: Above average to excellent Crowd: Varies Dress: Casual Food: Excellent Noise: Average to pleasantly quiet Service: Above average
Comments: Our party arrived for a rather late lunch and were served promptly (my favorite line). The bread was excellent. Our appetizers (cheese/garlic bread and prawns) were both excellent and inexpensive (like $5.00 each). I had the side caesar, which was good (typical caesar salad, though quite large). Our entrees came and I had the eggplant parmagiana. It was quite excellent in both flavor and texture, with fresh ingredients and excellent presentation. Bottom-line, I recommend Pezzella's for good, inexpensive italian food in a nice atmosphere with decent service.

Atmosphere: Above average to excellent Crowd: Varies Dress: Casual Food: Excellent Noise: Pleasantly quiet Service: Above average to excellent
Comments: I called very late (9:15) to bring a party of five. The hostess was quite kind over the phone about that (since it was a change from my reservation for myself only) and then when we arrived with five plus one, she simply smiled and took us to our reasonably large booth in the back corner. Now, imagine a Marie Callendar's with plusher booths, real table-cloths and napkins, candles on the table, and tasteful decorations lining the walls (I know, I should be burned at the stake for comparing their atmosphere to Marie's but that's the best way to describe it to someone that has never been). Sufficed to say, the atmosphere was QUITE nice but nothing too fancy or over-blown. One of our servers was possibly ever-so-slightly snobbish but, he was not rude and gave us prompt service and our other server was VERY nice (cool as I would call it) and laughed at our rambunctious party. There was one other couple in there eating but they didn't seem to be annoyed at our relatively loud party. The servers CONTINUALLY (not annoyingly, though) filled our drinks and brought full bread-baskets, of course, this attention may have been due to the fact that we were one of the only parties there. We received our dinners. I had the tortellini alfredo. It was served simply in a bowl/plate with just the RIGHT amount of alfredo, so as to not be drowning but plenty garnished. Everyone agreed that the food was spectacular (though some were uncomfortable with how loud they were versus how quiet the restaurant was). This food was DEFINITELY a step up from the food at Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi too or Florentine (two of my *** Italian establishments). I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant, but only if you like Italian. For those of you who don't like Italian, this would NOT be the place to go.

Excellent family owned Italian restaurant on El Camino Real near Mary Avenue in Sunnyvale.
Quiet, casual setting that is easy on the eyes.
Food is extremely good. Service is generally good to very good, but you can get a little attitude from the bartender during happy hour -- this is OK, as the bar seating is separate from the dining area and attitude is not an issue in the dining area.
Wine list is reasonably extensive. Mixture of Northern and Southern Italian Cuisine Dishes. Pasta dishes Con Vongale (with clams) are very good, as are the standard red meat sauce (Bolognese) dishes.
Unusual Portobello appetizer with very generous portions.

Recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed dining her. The atmosphere was great and service very professional, no pushing to get us through. I enjoyed the Veal Pazella, my wife thought her Ravioli's were superb, while a friend had his 'usual' Veal Scallopine. Pazella's has a decent wine list with good prices.
We had Tirimisu for dessert; forget it. It tasted like something frozen from a cutrate market.
I'll come back here again.

Had a very tasty and most enjoyable lunch at Pezzella's today. It is definitely a classic family Italian restaurant. The Veal Scallopini was very tasty. Service was attentive and pleasant.

The food quality and presentation are excellent. Decor is elegant but not too fussy. If there is something special you want, they are more likely than not to accomodate you. The only complain we have had is with the hostess/wait staff. Some are excellent while others seem a bit snobby.

The ambiance, quality of food and service have not changed. Art, the day bartender is a bit cantankerous but will give you a good drink and know everything about anything.

My husband and I went to this restaurant on New Year's eve last year. The place is obviously popular. As it was packed with happy, boisterous diners. While the atmosphere was fine, the food was only average. We asked our waitress if the pasta was Al Dente. She said that for al dente pasta we would have to pay extra. Dishes were oversauced. We live near this place but won't go back..
