My wife and I have found this to be the best Chinese restaurant in our
local area. We dine in or take out about once a week. The dine in service
has always been wonderful and food almost never a disappointment.
The duck is very good and far less expensive than other local places
where we've had it. The ribs, as are nearly all the appetizers,
are also very good. We also had our 10th wedding anniversary dinner
party there. 25-30 people and the cost, before tip was about $250. As
you can tell, we're regulars and regular cusomers get a 10% break.
We've found only one comparable place that has noticeably better
tasting food, and that's House of Dynasty on Telegraph Rd, in the
Hayfield shopping center. However, they are a 30-40 minute drive and
Hunan West is 5 minutes away.

I am not much for chinese food but I liked this place. It was fresh but
the service was a little slow. In their defense, it was VERY busy, I guess
that speaks for their reputation!

I have been here for lunch and dinner, I even have done carry out.
I have never been disappointed by the food and the dinner has a
nice touch of sorbet at the end of the meal.

The food is very good, but the service is not that great (for sitdown).
I have been going to this restaurant for a long time, and as I mentioned,
the food is very good, but dining in, the service has deteriorated!!

I go to this restaurant at least once a week for the carry out. The
food is outstanding, and the serving sizes are more than ample.
My favorite is the chicken and almonds, and the egg rolls are so
good, I usually get two. In my oppinion, it is the best in the area.
