I'm a Creighton student, so Cali taco is almost an institution
for me. While it's certainly not health food, Cali Taco is cheap,
delicious, and a fun place to be. For those who aren't familiar
with the "California Taco" it is a cruchy/chewy deep fried
shell filled with the meat of your choosing and resembles the chalupas
you would find at Taco Bell, but much better. If you're in the downtown/midtown
area in the afternoon, check out their happy hour from 4-5 everyday
for a couple of drinks and tacos at discounted prices.

Overall great experience. Great lunch time spot, with Creighton
being right down the street it does tend to get a bit busy around
lunch but it's well worth the wait. Fast speedy fast food
like service with an old school diner feel. Being hispanic, my
standards are pretty high, and Cali Taco ranks up their with family
hoe grown cookin'. Try the chicken enchilada!

California tacos is becoming an institution in central Omaha,
near Creighton University, the NU Medical Center, and Omaha
Public Schools administrative offices. Great noon hour tacos...tacos
are terrific...I spent seven years in south Texas, and California
tacos compare favorably to those I was accustomed to in San Antonio.

Friendly staff, fast service, and the restaurant recently doubled
in size.....wide range of clientele...and very reasonably
priced. Great place for lunch when time is of the essence and you
want quality Mexican food as well.

A nice touch is that you can also order alcholic beverages if desired.....parking
is not the greatest, and the neighborhood certainly has an interesting
"flavor" to it......but......I can deal with the
parking and neighborhood....I frequently drive more than a
few miles for a California Taco!

Great restaurant for lunch time. If your in a hurry, no problem.
They have a variety of items on the menu, both mexican delicasse's
and american favorites. I strongly recommened the chicken echiladas!!
As a hispanic I love mexican and this is the place to go!
