First time I dined at Downtown Grill and Brewery was on a Sunday, so several friends met for brunch. It was a little busy but not overly busy, but our waitress was MIA for most of the meal. We all ordered a mimosa, or poinsetta, and had all been wanting a second drink halfway through the meal, and had to finally flag down the waitress, who had been standing at the bar talking, as we all had empty drinks. 2 of us ordered Steak and Eggs from the brunch menu, one of the steaks was really underdone for a medium. Another ordered hot wings, which were tasty, and I ordered a salad and a baked potato, which was just about as fine as it could have been considering it was lettuce and a potato. Overall though good experience, nicely decorated, and very clean. Decent food, I will go back again and try it out!

One of my favorites! Awesome pizzas, huge salads, and Captain Sirloin is one of the best picks. The pretzel and beer cheese dip is always a winner for appetizer. I take every out-of town visitor I have there, and no one has ever had a bad meal.

The Downtown Grill and Brewery doesn't disappoint. For fans of flavorful beer, try the New World Porter and Downtown Nut Brown Ale. If the special is barbecue, make sure to get it, because it's some of the best barbecue this side of North Carolina. But avoid the baked beans. They were bland and tough, like they weren't cooked enough. But by all means, come here for the beer.

Great joint. Looking forward to being there in a few weeks. The service is fast, the home brew is great, and the food is pretty standard but well done. The pool hall in the back is the best part. I am just thrilled there is still somewhere for us old folks in Knoxville where you can lay back, have some drinks, and not have Jaeger spilled on you.

I've been coming to this place since it first opened. It's nice to have seen it's evolution to one of the happenest places in town. Weekends can get intense so be sure to call ahead. The music scene has gotten a lot better. The beer is the same - EXCELLENT! The prices are great. It's honestly one of the few places that you can go to and see a complete potpourri of individuals all hanging out, chatting, and sharing the one common denominator: The love for the brewery. It's Cheers come to life.

The Brewery is a local favorite by all of us who work and play downtown. On the weekends you can catch some good music, the food is good, and the atmosphere is great. There are two different bars , one on each floor(second floor you can play pool or dine). From the second floor you look down onto the other bar and seating. The Brewery also has an interesting story from a historical perspective , but I won't tell you. You have to go there and check it out!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You can't go wrong when you travel anywhere, go to the local microbrewery, because you'll get great beer and great food.
