I had heard so many good things about this restraunt. The one in Salt Lake City did not live up to its reputation. We would have had a better time at a mongolian grill where the chefs have their backs to you. Our chef did not interact with us at all. He did not do a fancy show (toss the shrimp tails into his hat for example). He constantly dropped his tools. I later found out from the hostess that he was new. For the amount of money our table spent (11 of us) we expected a show with a seasoned chef.

In summary the food was good but the show was horrible not worth the price of the meal.

It was fun. It was great because he kept filling your plate. I was eating my rice and shrimp while i watched him make the rest of my meal. It was great..... You should try The Roof while your in Salt Lake City too!

Nice atmosphere good service. It's fun to watch them prepare your food in front of you but way over priced.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and the chef (tired as he was) made a very strong effort to entertain while putting a lot into making the food perfect. The course schedule was fantastic, starting with mushroom soup served in traditional japanese soup bowls, followed by fried rice made at the table while we watched. Definitely the best rice I've ever had. Then the entries; very good and in wide variety. Finally, after the main course, all are invited to have a cup of green tea, a definite necessity if you want to complete the japanese experience. Dinner entries are also offered a scoop of sorbet. Over all, the best dining experience I have personally ever had.

Most Benihanas are great. This one was at best ok. The service was terrible. This was both times ive been there. Havent gone back since. Would recommend it in other cities, its a fun environment with a group of people. And the food is good.

I heard many people rave about Benihana's, but I hated it. Having them cook the food at the table was fun, but the food was not worth the price! They started with an awful salad, wilted lettuce and nasty orange sauce. Then they cooked the entrees. A $17.00 plate did not fill any of us up.

Good food cooked at your table. The night we were there the chef was having an off night. Usually they put on a nice show in preparing your meal.

Like any other Benihana's anywhere in the US...good food. However, the chefs lacked the flair that I normally see at my favorite Benihana's in Oakbrook (Chicago suburb).

The atmosphere isn't the best part of Benihana, but it sure is fun. I was seated with 4 complete strangers and by the end of the meal we were friends. As for the food, it was great. Done just the way I like it; right in front of me.
