With so many choice in Ashland, do yourself a favor and go to the Winchester Inn, Amuse, Tabu, Chateaulin, Lela's, or a host of others. We live in Ashland, and after an underwhelming experience at the Peerless five or six years ago, it took us this long to give them another chance. We checked out the menu online and made our reservation for New Year's Eve. When we got to the restaurant, none of the items on the menu that had our mouths watering were available. When we mentioned that to the owner, she basically said "sorry, that's the way it is... and walked away." The four of us at the table were stunned. I would have walked out right then, but I didn't want our friends to suffer, as there was little chance of getting a reservation anywhere else on New Year's Eve, We stayed, and paid $145 (with no drinks) for a mediocre meal. (The deep fried calimari was not crisp, but soggy.) It will be at least six years (and an ownership change) before we give them another chance. less
