But I soon realized why this res ... more Gina M. - I was hoping to try good Cajun food, so we tried this place because it had a lot of cars outside it when we drove by. But I soon realized why this restaurant shares a parking lot with a cemetary (it really does) - those are the people who died of old age waiting for their server! After getting our table, we waited for 10 min for a waiter. The place had about 8 servers, working 3-4 tables each, and was only about 1/3 full. Our waiter must have been on a break. We flagged down a bus boy and had him chase down our waiter. After another 10 min, we had the hostess take our order, and our waiter finally made an appearance after we had just finished ordering. She took our orders from the hostess and we headed to the seafood buffet. We had finished our first plate of food and still did not have our drink orders - had to flag down the hostess just to get water (plus the requisite 10 min wait). The "cajun" food lacked seasoning and overall was very bland. The gumbo had almost no flavor except for salt; the fried fish and shrimp were soggy; the etouffe was OK, but did not have near the spice I expected. The buffet had a wide selection of items, but after you have had 3-4 bland, season-free dishes, how many more do you need? Had to track down the hostess to get our check, but at least only had to wait 20 minutes to pay (we were 3rd in line). And as an added treat, we got to listen to the cashier and our waitress argue over what was the appropriate way to write up our check. Fantastic. Do not eat here. The cemetary looked nice though.... less
