The owner, Phil, treats everyone like a new friend and he's half the fun of coming here. But if you just want good food, you'll be happy, too, because Phil lovingly cooks over an open hickory-wood pit until the ribs are juicy, the marinated chicken is tender and the made-to-order Hickory Burgers are simply the best you'll ever taste. But don't stop there, because Phil has found the world's best cole slaw recipe (tangy and not too sweet, with a secret ingredient that you'll be amazed about- be sure and ask him!) and a Brunswick stew with huge, meaty chunks of pork and chicken: very rich and spiced perfectly. Always save room for one of his famous half-and-half milkshakes, too. less

I had heard about this place, so I had to drive up when I was in Atlanta. Totally worth the trip. Amazing BBQ. I'd go back if I lived closer.
