We made reservations for 6:30pm (Saturday night) so that we could eat before the 8pm show at the Philips Arena. We arrived at Thrive at 6:20pm to find it nearly empty, with just 4 or 5 tables full, so we were seated right away. Since we'd looked at the menu at home, we already knew what we wanted, so our order was in by 6:30pm. Thankfully, it's a rare date for my husband and me, so we had lots to talk about. However, we wanted to be out of the spot at around 7:30pm so that we could take our time walking to the Arena. We figured that, since our order went back to the kitchen at 6:30pm, and all we ordered was salmon for me and grouper for my husband, that we should be good on time. WE WERE WRONG!!! At 7:17pm, our waiter brought out complimentary fried green tomatoes sent by the chef "to nibble on until our dinner was ready." What?! Clearly, someone forgot to either put in our order or someone forgot to make it. I couldn't believe that they had time to cut, batter, and fry up green tomatoes, but they didn't have time to throw a couple of fish pieces on the grill. Really?... Our dinner arrived at 7:33pm, more than an hour after we gave the waiter our order, so I'm not pleased with the experience. I will NOT be going back! less

The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was and I like that the kitchen is open and in plain view of the dining room. When I entered the lavatory to wash my hands, I was amazed at not only how clean it was but that it was decorated and felt like being in a home. I enjoyed a fresh house salad with house dressing which delightfully engaged my taste buds. As I finished my salad, I looked in the kitchen just in time to watch Chef Juan plate my Chicken Marsala carefully arranging it. My order arrived at my table and the presentation was excellent. One of the things that caught my eye was the much lighter color of the Marsala sauce. It was light and a perfect complement to the chicken which was tender and perfectly cooked. After finishing my meal, I could have been perfectly content to leave until Giovanni told me about his fresh made desserts. I could never resist cheesecake and like everything else, it was perfect. It was creamy, had excellent texture and flavor. During the course of my dinner, that empty dining room filled with both new and regular customers who raved about their favorite dishes, how nice the place is, and how they are recommending it to all their friends. less

When I looked in the window, the place was empty but I decided to be brave as it was early in the dinner hour. I entered and was warmly welcomed and seated. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was and I like that the kitchen is open and in plain view of the dining room. I wasn't drinking this particular night but I took note that they had a nice selection of wine and beer. I ordered the Chicken Marsala. While I was waiting I enjoyed a salad with the house dressing which delightfully engaged my taste buds along with the fresh garlic bread. I finished just in time to watch Chef Juan plate my dinner. The first thing I noticed when it was placed before me was that the sauce was much lighter in color than other establishments in which I have dined. The Marsala wine was present just enough to let you know it was there along with the mushrooms. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked as was the accompanying pasta. I could have been perfectly content to leave at that point until Giovanni told me about his fresh made deserts. I chose the cheesecake. Like everything in Giovanni's, the first bite you instantly know it's made there. It was creamy, excellent texture and flavor and the perfect end to dinner. By the way, during the course of visit, that empty dining room filled with regular and new customers alike who raved about their food, recommended their favorites, and went on about how they love Giovanni's. Even if you don't live in Austell, it would be worth the short drive for some real Italian food and real Italian charm. less

Bambinelli's is a really nice family owned restaurant. The food and the portions are great and the prices are very reasonable.Great atmosphere.

Each diner is given a card when you want more you turn to green and red when you want to stop. I don't think One get the chance to eat has much has the meats as you want because of the paste they serve at but the salad bar wasvery good less

I've been eating sushi for over 20 years and Akina is absolutely fabulous. Akina is not your typical run of the mill sushi bar like Sushi Nami, Hachi Hachi or Pacific Spice. Their sushi is always fresh and tender. Akina's sashimi, sushi and appetizers are so amazing you almost forget you are in Alpharetta, GA. Peter (owner) is beyond knowledgeable about the different types of fish, sake and anything else you ask him about. The customer service is like no other. Peter, Steve and Jay are not just sushi chefs...they are artist. Akina has a special flavor from the time you walk in. The decor is awesome all the way to the bathrooms. We won't set foot into another sushi bar. Akina is the only place to go. They also have lunch hours and its a wonderful change from the typical sandwich/burger/salad for lunch. If you want fabulous sushi, the only place to go is Akina. If you keep eating somewhere else and haven't tried Akina, you are doing your tastebuds a disservice. Thanks guys for always taking such good care of us. less
