The food is awsome no matter what dish you order. The service is on point and the restaurant is clean and classy. I highly reccomend Dynasty. Excellent!!!! less

For game 3 of the 2012 World series, this looked like a fine place to get a pizza and a couple beers and enjoy the local team play. Got there 10 minutes prior to first pitch and the place was packed with other Giants fans that had the same idea. The stereo was playing, but the TVs were all on with the sound off. When the game started, I asked our waitress to turn up the sound on the TVs. She replied that the manager would not permit the sound to be turned up. I asked to see the manager. When he came to the table, I asked him to turn up the sound, and was told that this was a restaurant and not a sports bar. EVERY SINGLE PATRON OF THE PUB WAS THERE TO ENJOY THE GAME. (about 25 or 30 people). Everyone was glued to the TVs and cheered and screamed loudly when a good play was made. There were even "LETS GO GIANTS" cheers every few minutes. The manager was asked by many pf the patrons to make an exception to turn up the volume and refused the wishes of everyone. This was by far the WORST case of management I was ever witnessed. The pizza was decent and the service was not bad, but the manager was (is) the biggest idiot in the restaurant business. I hope the owner of the Buckhorn is aware how this clown treats paying customers. If I could give 0 stars on this review it would be too kind. We along with other patrons went to a local bar 2 doors down to watch the rest of the game where the beers were cheaper and the management was paying attention to the wishes of their CUSTOMERS. less

I have frequented this place for over 20 years and never had a bad meal. The fact it stays in business this long speaks for itself. The prices are very broad, depending on what you want. This is a university town so they cater to a student budget as well as a university professor. They have traditional dishes as well as innovative plates. Lots of locals go here and it's become the only restaurant I truly trust for a great meal every time! Of the three sushi places in Arcata this is the winner. less

My mother ordered the crab sandwhich which arrived on a hamburger bun, the kind with sesame seeds... When she picked it up it immediately fell apart because it was very soggy on the bottom. I told her, "You can use a fork if it's good!" That was the caveat. Canned crab on the North Coast (blasphemy). The waitress lied and said it was fresh but it was canned, you know the ground-up kind! She insisted it was fresh and "Can I say something to the cook? Well yes you can!" NO SEASONING AT ALL. It had no taste and was a soggy mess for $22! The oyster on the half shell were also very bland, but I enjoy plain oysters so I ate them. Steamer clams were mediocre at best and the designer martini was the worst I ever had. A glass of cheap perfume! I could not finish my $12 drink it was that bad. Stay away it's not worth the trouble, even one of the locals told me today, its really gone down hill. It should have been an good clue that there was nobody else there in the entire restaurant for lunch, nobody. less

We had a couple of simple special requests and the owner came out and screamed at us in front of a packed house and used several four letter words. We will never return!!!!!! less

The food is delicious their drinks are awesome and it is family run! My favorite is the Tostada Mazatlan, it comes with either chicken or prawns that are cooked in a butter lime and garlic sauce server on a flour tostada with black beans, mango, and hicama. The tostada sits on a bed of rice and mexican dressing (creamy avocado with cilantro) is drizzled on top! YUM Yum Yum!!! less

The food at Karma is phenomenonal. The food is so fresh. I have been to Pamposh, the Indian restaurant in Santa Rosa and hands down, Karma is far better. Their base sauce is what makes these dishes taste so great. They must make new sauce very often. Their ingredients are fantastic. Karma really tries to accomodate their cooking style to meet your spice wish. While I'll admit their location is not the best, it is totally worth the extra time to find it. I could never dream of going to Pamposh again. In fact, Pamposh, in comparison, is an insult to my colon. Pamposh and Sizzling Tandoor just do not have the freshness that Karma has. The authenticity of good Indian food is definitely here at Karma. Any mistakes or inconveniences were easily compensated by a complimentary dessert. KARMA ALL THE WAY!! less

The 1/2 lb Kobe burger($12) was very good. The Kurobuta pork chop($20) was even better. The triple chocolate mousse was excellent. It's not a fancy restaurant but the food is four star presentation and taste. It was so good I went 2 nights in a row. less
