I got it with fresh Mozzarella on there (let me tell you! it was definately fresh!) and chose the fries as my side. The fries were seasoned steak fries and those were to die for! I just had a water to drink but my boyfriend had one of their I think 80ish beers. This is definately a restaurant that I will be back to and bring my friends and family to as well. This is one that everyone should check out when they are in Elgin. less

The customer service is the best, it's clean, the prices are very affordable and most importantly, the food is great every single time!! The homemade soups are not to be missed. The wraps and sandwiches are always great and the specials are awesome. less

I got the chicken with proscuitto with a pasta in roasted tomato, very light sause which went well with the chicken. Parking is a pain, but I will eat here again. presentation was very nice. less

While we didn't have an issue with our server at all as she was great, the managers are less than customer-centric. My husband and I went to lunch and tried to use a gift certificate. We were told in a less than friendly manner by the managers that the certificate was given under old owners and that it didn't make sense for them to accept it as they would just lose money on it. They also said that it was 5 years old, even though we pointed out that it specifically stated there was no expiration date. We would have gone somewhere else that didn't charge us $30 for a basic lunch if we knew that was the case. While the atmosphere was unique, the food average and the treatment by the managers was definitely a reason not to go back. It was pretty empty in there, so I would have thought they would have been happier to have clients. less

If you're just there as a couple, say on a normal Tuesday, the place can seem a little dark, smoky and boring. The drink selection is excellent, and the service is almost always very good - efficient, friendly and prompt. The food is a good selection of what Americans have come to expect of Irish food - fish and chips, bangers and mash, shepherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage. The house salads are VERY good. The potato leek soup is adequate, but too salty the several times I've tried it. Oddly enough, my husband went there last St. Patrick's day as part of a parade group and was unable to get corned beef and cabbage. They had a limited menu that day because of the crowds and didn't include that Irish-American staple. Strange, huh? Anyhoo, he goes there a lot and has had pretty much everything on the menu and likes it all. Every time we've been there the food has been hot, fresh and tasty. This isn't a great place for really young kids, but your teenagers will probably enjoy it. Watch out, though, sometimes the crowd gets rather rowdy. There is live music several times a week, and frequently soccer on the telly. Slainte! less
