tassie - The atmosphere at Furners Hotel is one of casual elegance. From the moment you enter the door you will be exposed to simple small town 'quaintness'. In one part of the restaurant you overlook the open kitchen, a flash of flame here a sizzling there. The smalls emanating from that corner are tantalizingly inviting. As you are seated you may glance to the salad bar. Typical of the style of restaurant with pasta salads, potato salads and the like. In the corners of the room are small television sets which may entertain your children, if only for a short while. The menu is the one thing that lets this small town restaurant down. Sure, if you enjoy a chicken carbonara, or a prawn cocktail you'll do well. But the variety just isn't there. In conclusion, Furners Hotel rates 3 and a half stars. Atmosphere: 4 Food: 3
