They are always friendly and make you feel special. I love their salad bar and soups. The menu has such a great variety that its hard to choose. We had our small wedding reception here and we received so many compliments on how good the food and the service was. Mark helped us with the planning and he just made things go so smoothly. We recommend Schusslers to everyone for being so great. less

After finding a huge piece of cartilage in my beef & broccoli (by wedging it firmly between my molars - I can't get the cartilage out!) I requested that particular item be taken off of my bill. That is when all the fun started. No one speaks more than a few words of English, so I tried to explain what cartilage is – and got a run around that none of their flank steak ever has cartilage or bone – except they do and I handed over my nice big chunk of it. No one would do anything – I can’t have an item listed for $8.75 removed. I really hope that the $8.75 I requested be removed from the bill is worth the loss of a sale totaling $47.65 (after I initiate a charge back at my bank) and the amount of bad business I am giving them. The after taste of Chinese mixed with massive amounts of blood from my murdered gums is not a pleasant combination. Needless to say, Peking will never be receiving my business again. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. less

Five of us had a pleasant early dinner at the Golden Pines and our waitress was very nice. 3 of us had dinner entrees that came with a choice of soup or salad, and a choice of potatoe or pasta. The salad was fresh but the creamy potato bacon needed a boost. The dinner rolls were great! We ordered 3 different entrees. The veal oscar required a knife but had a nice breading. (Perhaps it needed a little more tenderizing with a meat mallet.) The hollandaise sauce was different - a darker color instead of a creamy, egg yoke color and light texture. The linguini, tossed in garlic butter, was a very good choice. The Chicken Kiev was missing the rich, buttery flavor but it may have been a baked, frozen product that needed to be enhanced. The ribeye steak was done exactly as ordered and was enjoyed. All of us enjoyed the steamed vegetables along with the atmoshphere and service. less

The special was recommended by the bar tender who makes a great drink. The large ribeye (had one a bit smaller in Chicago a few years ago) had an outstanding seasoning and was char-grilled. It was delicious. less

The new owner (can you say Hitler?) was screaming at his help in front of all of the customers no less than three times in the short time we were there and able to tolerate it. When we called him over to the table, he got just as arrogant with us. Bad move, sir. We won't be back until the supper club has either a new owner, or until we see a sign on the door that says the owner is off on a trip to get professional counseling for his horrible manners and bad disposition. We are still giving the supper club three stars because the staff was so kind to us and tolerant of the way they were being treated while trying to do their jobs. less

Steaks were cooked to perfection and location was just beautiful. Myself and my wife have been to this restaurant a couple of times and say that during the winter months it is an absolute MUST visit. The bar area was very fun with great food and awesome service! If you are in the area I suggest you visit. Two thumbs up! less

My favorite foods are their German dumpling with butter, the onion rings, and the broiled whitefish. Every meal I have had over the past 35 years has been excellent.
