Phil N.   -   PC Restaurant - Customer Service = 0 My wife and I entered the restaurant and immediately felt unwelcome. No one to greet us, we seated ourselves. The waiter came to the table, no greeting, no smile, felt as though we were intruding. We placed our order and I ordered a beer. I asked about a coupon that came in the mail to us. one free fried rice with pork if ordering 30.00 worth of food. The waiter stated that the offer was only good for take out. The coupon had no disclaimers on it stating that. I showed the waiter the coupon, he would not look at it and stated that his regular customers know that this is for take out and that he did not like being taken advantaged of. I got up from the table and asked to speak to the manager/owner. No one identified themselves as such. I told the wait person that I would pay for the beer since I drank it and that we would not be staying for the meal. The wait person made no attempt to apologize, I told him he was rude and that is why we were leaving. There are more Chinese restaurants out there that are more professional and courteous, Do not waste your time at this one. My wife and I felt very disrespected. less

The service is horrible, attention to detail is non-existent and my last burger-dip (and I mean LAST) was smushed and disgusting. And I paid 11.05 for this crap. This place is consistently horrible. Kidd Valley used to be good, I really don't know what happened, but now the food is quite bad there. less

Steven W.   -   I am a regular customer at the Federal Way, WA location. I typically go there on Sundays after church. This Sunday however, my treatment by the staff in general and then the manager was unacceptable. First, there was a group of 6 of us. I came in and put in my name on the waiting list for 6 people , 2 of us were there, and we were waiting on 4 in our party to arrive. After about 15 minutes a host took us to seat us at a table too small to fit 6 people. Apparently he thought it was just the 2 of us, so we had to be put back on the waiting list. By this time the rest of my party had arrived. After waiting another 10-15 minutes or more I approached the host because there was an entire section of the restaurant with all open tables. He told me it was closed, I said we'd been waiting quite a while and asked if maybe they could seat us there and have a server come over. After about another 5 minutes my friend Nathan approached one of the hostesses to ask to speak to a manager. Jack Hernandez, the manager on duty came and before letting Nathan finish his sentence got in his face and was interrupting him shouting "where? what tables? why don't you show me what tables I have in my restaurant? where? come on, show me!" Needless to say I was shocked by the waiter's response. I came to the defense of my friend and said, "there is a whole section open over there, that is what he is talking about". Jack told me that section was closed. I said we'd been waiting 30 minutes, could you open it? He said "I don't know how long you've been waiting, thats not my fault". He began at that point interrupting not letting me finish my sentences or speak without cutting me off, and he being taller than me leaned in and put his face right up in mine. I asked him repeatedly to back down and he would not, he just kept shouting in my face. My other friends said "well, with that attitude we will take our business elsewhere". He told them "good, take your business wherever you like". I said "wow, you give really bad customer service, you are totally out of line, we don't deserve to be trea..." again he interrupted and got in my face, finally I said "Get the f**k out of my face sir". I don't usually use that kind of language but he was physically intimidating me by leaning over and in my face after I had asked him not to. Then he basically started yelling at me and all of my friends to "leave now" and even though we were gladly exiting, he kept getting in my face and saying "good, go, get out, go on" and so forth, then saying "and I'm writing down your license plate too" and threatening to call the police. He said I had not right to tell him how to do his job, I said "free speech, its America". To that he replied "Not in here it isn't", then he proceeded to repeat "adios amigos" several times. Again he threatened to call the police as we were trying to exit. The police? For what, leaving because we waited too long for a table and then got yelled at for complaining? I should add that during the entire time we waited for our table, the last 25 minutes of it we were the only people waiting for one. Also, its a Sunday morning, one of the busiest times for Black Bear, and yet an entire section of the restaurant closed? Nonetheless I was literally shaking after the experience. I called later and a server or hostess answered, I just wanted to know the name of the general manager. I was told it was "Jack Hernandez". I have only seen Jack there one other time when eating, so I'm not even sure if they were lying or being honest because at that point Jack took the phone and started yelling at me. This is where it gets really bad. He said "why don't you get a lawyer, what you gonna do? Do whatever you want but if you try and come back here I'll call the cops". Then he mentioned that he knew where my "little friend or girlfriend, or whatever you call it" worked and he was gonna come down to Shari's and show them what its like to be treated bad. My "little friend" Nathan is gay, and our entire group was adult males. So now he is making homophobic remarks and threatening us? I have been going to Black Bear diner for great food ever since they opened. I would love to continue to do so but I am both shocked and beside myself after this experience. I cannot imagine how somebody who treats people like this could be made manager. The threats and homophobic remarks were the last straw, and like Jack suggested, I just might contact an attorney. less

It is a spinach pasta with pesto and fresh marinara sauce. Other pasta dishes are great too. The rigatoni with homemade meatballs and the risotto with mushrooms and fresh herbs are also noteworthy. Moreover, almost every night there is some sort of entertainment. less

maplevalleygirl   -   Food is OK, I was happy to have another pho place around my area, I went to Happy Pho Time like 10 times, I almost feel like a regular customer then one day their register was broken, they were taking our debit/credit card by writing number in our bill and sign it... I was OK with that until 2 days later my bank statement showed that it was my regular charge around 15. 86 plus an extra of almost 24 dlls..I went in person to talk with the person in charge it was Michelle, she remember me and agreed that it was a mistake, I left with her word this error will be fixed, wait for 5 days, went again, this time I bring a copy where is showed 2 charges same day, they keep copies and assure they will fixed and have my 24 dlls. back, another 5 days passed then make 2 ph calls the following week! Until I said my anger for 24 dlls and their response is just worth worth it, feel totally ignored as a regular customer and to anyone, who wants to pay for lunch I never had? nobody call me, nobody did anything they just ignored their mistake, I know the person I talked with is at least co-owner so Michelle: if this is the way you are going to treat your customer, I am happy to give 24 and spread the words how bad you handle this error from your side and of course go to have pho in other place!!! ReneesReviews   -   First, let me say, this is literally the worst place I have eating in an extremely long time and I will never return. Nothing was fresh except the prices! We ordered a bottle of Robert Mondavi 2008 Pinot Noir. Price was resonable, $20.00. We were serve 2010 and the waitress just filled our glasses, no tasting. We ordered crab cakes and I specifically asked if they used fresh crab as they were $7.95, and was told yes. We were served 2 crab cakes about 2"in diameter by 1/4" thick on a huge plate and they were made with canned crab. They were tasty, but fishy and obviously not worth the price. Although, the roasted garlic mayo was tasty. Our salads were served before we were finished with our appetizer and my caesar was literally drenched in "wishbone" oil based dressing. They did, however, use shredded parmesan out of a bag and the yellow tomato on the dinner salad was a nice touch. The blue cheese dressing wasn't bad. Lasagna was the special ($12.95) and was served in a boat (very small portion) with Chef Boyardee sauce accentuated with additional spices that were overpowering and completely smothered in cheese. There was only a couple pieces of meat, the rest was noodle and sauce. The “fresh vegetables” were frozen bag vegetables that were reheated and that’s what really got me. In this day and age, really? The “Rib Eye” ($18.95) was not trimmed and should not be on the menu as a Rib Eye, but a Rib Steak. It was ordered medium rare and was served raw, cold in the middle, unseasoned and was only grilled on one side! The vegetable were again frozen, reheated and tasted horrible. The baked potato was also dry. Once we were served, the waitress stopped by once, right after she served us, and never came back. We never had the opportunity to tell her how disappointed we were or to refuse the food. When she did come back with the bill, she never asked how we liked the food. The food was dreadful with prices way above the quality presented. less
