Nothing is fresh, it is all microwaved and many waiters do not even have a food handlers license. The cooks do not know what they are doing, dont speak english, dont wear hair nets, and dont wear gloves. It is all around bad quality. less

Ray's has been featured in Texas Montly and many assorted travel guides. There are now two locations in Lufkin, one on Loop 287 and this the orgional on North Timberland Drive. Both locations are good but the nostalga exists on North Timberland. (Highway 59) The "Ray's Special" Burger is the most notable burgeran average diameter burger with double meat double cheese and all the traditional fixings but all their burgers are excelent. Staying with the "Drive-In" in its name you can choose to dine in or eat in your car (or truck, we are in East Texas after all) in true drive-in style. Naturally Ray's is busy on Friday & Saturday nights and is a regular lunch spot for everyne. CLOSED ON SUNDAY! less

Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad, it is just exactly what you would expect from a Tex Mex establishment from the chips and salsa down to the various flavors of taco and enchilada combination plates to the sopapillas and ice cream available as dessert. If that is what you are looking for you won't find it better in Lufkin. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food look elsewhere. less

Little did I know that during his time in the military he became good friends with the owner of Butcher Boy. Well any ways to make a long story short we and about 30- 40 other relatives and friends who were gathered at the funeral home the night before burial were all invited to go to Butcher Boys and have a nice meal..Of course the owner picked up the entire tab...anything we wanted..what ever we wanted.. I was treated very nice..service was excellent...and the food..well it was out of this world..I had the burger plater but I also tried my sisters bar-b-que and both were subperb..i would highly reccomend this restaruant to anyone and would also like to thank the owner for his kindness and gratitude shown at the passing of my brother...again.. 5 stars all the way.. less

I miss the philly cheese steak sandwiches. i talked to the owner and he said they got rid of them because they weren't selling as hot as everything else. I'd continue to buy them though. Overall, Butcher Boys is one of the best burgers I know I'll ever have. Try it out! less
