I have never been disappointed with the food or service. There's also a nice bar area to people watch. The restaruant is very open, so it can get a bit noisy. There's a nice outdoor patio dining area, and a separate outdoor sitting area to have drinks. I've personally never had the brunch here, but have heard from others it is a wonderful dining experience. less

It wasn't smothered in cheese, where you can't taste anything else. Very fresh and clean tasting. It's a small restaurant, located in a strip mall beside a tire place. I had a hard time finding it when someone told me about it. Bring your own wine, at least at this point. less

I have been going to Rao’s Bakery for the past three years and have yet to see improvement in the staff’s friendliness or lack thereof, and the operation seems to have no solid organization. Unfortunately, the staff at the register are not friendly and will not crack a smile even if you begged. So right off the bat you may feel a bit unwelcome, but can wear off as your eyes steer to the right at the epitome of a desert selection. You will not know where to start and wish you had the stomach the size of a whale to try them all! In my last visit I had the large Fruit Tart. The crust was delicious and solid, the cream was perfectly sweetened, and the fruit was fresh and crunchy. Later I tried the Velvet Cake Ball. The semi-chocolate covering over ruled the velvet cake, which made it taste bland. The Italian Cream Cake ball was fantastic! The texture of the cake was nice and creamy. The cake was smooth on the palate with a nice duo mixture of coconut and walnut. And the semi-sweet chocolate covering was a great finale to the tasty delight. I tried their freshly brewed Mexican Coffee; I take my coffee with cream and sugar, but this coffee was so good I had it straight. Yes, it was that good. I also had the chicken salad sandwich on wheat toast. The chicken salad included white chicken with an ambiguously creamy light taste. Overall, I recommend this place for a light lunch and sweet treat but do not let the faulty staff ruin your appetite. Bon appétit! less

Paul S. - Upper management at Gringos (employees refered to him as Mr. Rush, and I believe they called him Ben also) found out that a mentaly challenged person ... more Paul S. - Upper management at Gringos (employees refered to him as Mr. Rush, and I believe they called him Ben also) found out that a mentaly challenged person (who was a customer for years on a weekly basis, so most the employees knew of her double brain injury) was coming to his establishment. He begin a series of name calling and degradeing remarks against her, even making physical threats that included following her to her car, scaring her and putting her in fear for her saftey. She lives next door to this place of business in Wimbledon Estates and is afraid to call the police because he might come to her house and hurt her. (Remember she does have a mental disability). Now that I have learned of what happened, and witnessed part of it I want everyone to know that this person in upper management at Gringos Mexican Resturant in Spring, TX on Cypresswood is prejudice against women, and the disabled. If anyone knows of any organization that can help stop this criminal behaviour please post it so we can stop this women fom living in fear, and find out how many others he has done this to. less
