WESTCHESTER: THIS IS NO PIZZARIA

Burrata, the cheese, is a pouch of fresh mozzarella filled with a dreamy, creamy concoction that flows like melting butter, teasing your taste buds with its rich texture and flavor. Like its namesake, Burrata, the new restaurant at 425 White Plains Rd. in Eastchester, tempts your senses with its sophisticated, minimalist décor, exotic aromas and, most of all, an array of palate-pleasing menu selections.

Make no mistake.  This is no pizzeria.  It’s a dining experience that rivals some of Manhattan’s finest bistros, with its enormous wood-fired Hearth oven dominating the open kitchen and a full bar offering fine wines, including delightful house reds and whites, a wide array of premium liquors and one of the finest Negroni Cocktails this side of the Via Veneto.

Its subtle “white on grey” atmosphere offers a perfect background for the bustle of the attentive wait staff and an ideal setting for the impressive selection of colorful, super-savory appetizers and side dishes that dot the table tops.

The only thing about Burrata that does not live up to expectations is the size of the check. It will make you feel that you got way more than you could have hoped for.  And, you know what?  You will!
